Before you take office
A few questions.
Looking for a government simulation on your phone? Here’s what Republic offers, and where the release stands.
When can I download Republic?
Republic is coming soon for iPhone. The App Store and TestFlight links will be added when those releases are available. A release date has not been announced.
Is this Democracy 4 on iOS?
No. Republic is an independent political simulator for iPhone. Democracy 4 is a separate game by Positech; Republic is not a port or official mobile edition, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Positech Games. Republic has its own simulation, content, and native interface.
Can I play without an internet connection?
Yes. Gameplay is single player and offline, with no account required and no advertising. Your progress is stored locally on your device. Optional analytics requires your consent, and optional Apple Game Center features require a supported build and sign-in. Neither is needed to play.
Does Republic collect gameplay analytics?
Optional Firebase gameplay analytics is off by default. Firebase starts only after you opt in through Settings, where you can also turn analytics off. It may include fixed game interactions, fictional choices and outcomes, and SDK app-instance and device information, but not custom names, political profiles or compass positions, or save files. Read the privacy policy for the data and consent details.
Can I customize the starting country?
Yes. Choose your identity, difficulty, and world seed, then adjust opening economic conditions and starting policies before you begin the presidency.
Are the policy effects real-world forecasts?
The game uses authored, simplified models. Its fictional presidency and policy outcomes are intended for play and exploration, rather than predicting real economic or election results.
What happens to my saved games?
Autosaves and manual saves remain in the app’s local storage. You can load, duplicate, or delete individual saves in Saved games. Device backups are managed through your Apple settings; Republic does not provide its own cloud sync.
